PRESIDENT & CEO | NRIA

 

Broad background in business development, finance, accounting, and construction management. 

Over a decade in the realty finance business where he underwrote, approved, and funded more than $200M of loans across residential, small balance commercial and construction loans for Wholesale Financial Advisors, Apex Financial, and First 2nd Mortgage of NJ. 

Founded NRIA in mid/late 2006 with a small group of investors to build and renovate investment properties via advantageous tax benefit programs available in Philadelphia. Currently, projects range between $5M and $25M, with the company having delivered more than $500M in total asset value since 2010. 

Over the past 10+ years Mr. Grabato has successfully assembled additional key personnel to run every facet of the investment, management, and development business today. 

Graduate of De La Salle University – College of Saint Benilde with a degree in Business & Construction Management.

15+ years of domestic and international commercial real estate debt and equity investment experience. Joined NRIA in 2016. 

Prior to joining NRIA; Director of Credit Investment & Strategy, primarily focused on commercial real estate, for MKP Capital Management, a $9.0B Global Hedge Fund. Average portfolio size of CRE Debt investments was approximately $1.0B – $1.5B. Mezzanine debt to Sponsors including Blackstone, Lonestar, Rialto, etc. 

Involved historically in Freddie Mac B-Pieces, Conduit B-pieces, as well as legacy and new issue CMBS securities across the risk & duration spectrum. 

Underwrote / structured conduit, large loan, and subordinate debt at Eurohypo AG, Deutsche Bank, and Morgan Stanley. 

Graduate of Michigan State University (Finance, Magna Cum Laude), and NYU (Masters in Real Estate Finance & Development), and currently remains on MSU’s Real Estate Investment Advisory Board.

Managed over 40 large scale ground-up development projects ranging from $5M to $50M per site.

To-date has supervised and brought to market over 900 finished investment property units; valued at more than $700M.

Coordinated financing for buyers of over $500M (debt & equity).

Mr. La Mattina has extensive background as a commercial and residential real estate professional, owning and managing a multi-state licensed mortgage banking firm for over 25 years and originating over $100 million per year of residential and commercial mortgages. He has been associated with NRIA in a number of managerial capacities over the past 6 years, and is currently in the role of Senior Vice President of National Project Development. Along with his Mortgage Banking and Real Estate Licenses, he is also an experienced property manager that has successfully overseen numerous NRIA properties. Glenn has additionally managed funding of well over $1B of home & condo purchase transactions.

His extensive knowledge of realty management, project operations, project funding, rentals and resales is why he heads up oversight of the NRIA Property Management & Sales function. Glenn is another invaluable management asset among the highly experienced NRIA team.

25 years in business development across multiple industry lines, including real estate, and technology. Has been with NRIA since 2007. 

Leads a 5-person project management team at NRIA, which facilitates property management due diligence, financing arrangements, title, and closings (initial acquisition & end-user/buyer). Art’s projects managed range in scale from $5M to $35M. Art has successfully overseen more than $400M of completed NRIA developments.

Rich received his real estate license over 40 years ago, developing a large multi-office franchise with RE/MAX guiding his sales teams for 28 years under the RE/MAX brand. He was RE/MAX Broker Owner of the Year 1992– RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award. He achieved the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award (1000) sales, done in 19 years. He received the RE/MAX International Top 100 Agents Designation in 1999 out of 125,000 top producers.

After working with Major Developer/Investors, while continuing with RE/MAX, he became Managing Partner in a Building/Development Company of his own acquiring and gaining numerous approvals for shopping centers, office buildings, and major tenant developments. Richard has built and sold over 1000 new homes/townhomes/condos and developments in Northern New Jersey over his career creating more than $400M in equity value. He is a proven expert in the zoning and construction entitlement process, local government interface, construction management and marketing.

30+ years of experience in Site Plan Engineering, General Contracting, Surveying, Construction Management and Land Development. DMR Construction Services and subsidiary company Constructioneer Inc. have been affiliated with NRIA since 2015. 

Has managed over $400M of complex engineering builds for the State of New York Metropolitan Transit Authority, NJ Transit Authority, Amtrak and numerous state and local municipal authorities. 

Built some of the most sought after residential home developments – both single family and multifamily in the NY/NJ area. 

Professional Engineer licensed in the states of NY and NJ.

15+ years in construction management & development, and has overseen one of the largest redevelopment efforts in Philadelphia (2007 thru 2017). Affiliated with NRIA since 2007. 

Expert in local zoning codes, neighborhood community group input, planning commission participation and negotiation. 

Leads the team of U.S. Construction in coordination with the best sub-contracted vendors in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Delray Beach. 

Over the past 10 years U.S. Construction has constructed more than 800 luxury Townhomes, predominately within Philadelphia. 

Graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Business & Communications.

PRESIDENT | PREMIER ACCESS MANAGEMENT

 

Oversees a rental portfolio of more than 800 luxury townhomes in the greater Philadelphia area, and is expanding to Brooklyn/NYC. Affiliated with NRIA since 2010.

Directs marketing & leasing team at Premier Access who have become the largest new construction residential rental management company in Philadelphia under his leadership.

Has secured over 3,000 residential lease agreements for properties valued from $500k to $2M.

Premier Access adds 100-150 new construction properties to its inventory each year.
